Service providers

To operate and develop our website, we work together with external service providers:

  • Web agency: Our website is maintained and developed by Liip AG, Limmatstrasse 183, 8005 Zurich.
  • Web host: Our website is hosted by Nine Internet Solutions AG, Badenerstrasse 47, 8004 Zurich. The hosting servers are located in Switzerland.

In their work for us, the service providers have very minimal access to personal data that are collected in connection with the website. We are convinced that our service providers handle the data in accordance with all laws and regulations and we have contractually obliged them to do so.

Use data

Every time our website is accessed and every time a file is retrieved, general data about this process are automatically stored in a protocol file. These data are stored exclusively for system-related and statistical purposes. The data are never given to third parties and are not evaluated in any other way, except in the instance that we are legally required to do so.

For each retrieval, the following data will be stored:

  • the name of the internet service provider
  • the IP address and/or the IP address of the proxy server
  • the version of your browser software
  • the operating system on your computer
  • the website you used to visit our website
  • the pages of our website you visit
  • search terms you use on fenaco.com or search terms you have used to get to our website

Personal data

We only process personal data when such processing is legally allowed or when you have given us your consent. Namely:

  • Contact: When you get into contact with us on fenaco.com using the contact form or the linked email address (for example info@fenaco.com), we will save your information for the purpose of processing your request as well as in the event that we continue to correspond with one another.
  • Applications: We publish all of the job vacancies in the fenaco cooperative and its businesses on our website. Applications can be submitted through our online application portal. Personnel services are carried out by HR fenaco. Your application will be processed exclusively by the responsible HR business partner and the responsible parties of the business concerned. Your application data will be stored exclusively on the servers of fenaco and its software partner (Talentsoft GmbH, Spichernstrasse 6, 50667 Cologne). We have contractually obliged Talentsoft to handle the data in accordance with all laws and regulations. A detailed data protection policy can be found directly on the application portal.

Storage duration

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the intended purpose. After that time, it will be routinely deleted. The exception is when there are statutory storage obligations (for example to fulfil or initiate a contract).

After three years at the latest, we review whether we still need to store your data and whether there are statutory storage obligations that would prevent us from deleting them.

Rights of those affected

Depending on the legal situation, the following rights are available to those affected:

  • Right to information: You have the right to request a confirmation stating whether or not your personal data have been processed by us and which personal data these included.
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to request that incorrect data related to you be promptly corrected.
  • Right to deletion: You have the right to request that data related to you be promptly deleted. Data that are subject to statutory storage obligations are excepted from this.
  • Right to revocation: You have the right to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Revoking your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that has already occurred from the time you gave your consent until  it was revoked.

To make use of any of your rights as an affected party, please send an email to: webmaster@fenaco.com

Security

We use the latest in technologies to ensure the security of your data. During the process of making an online request, your entries are secured using SSL encryption. To securely save your data, our systems are protected by firewalls, which prevent unauthorised outside access.

In addition, we also use technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you have provided us from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, damage or access by unauthorised persons. Our contract partners who receive access to your data in order to provide services to you on our behalf are contractually obliged to protect your data and keep them confidential.

Linked websites

Our website contains links to online offers from other providers. We do not have any influence on whether their operators comply with the data protection regulations.

Cookies

In specific areas of our website, we use what are known as “cookies”. Cookies are data elements used to identify your computer as a technical entity during your visit to our website in order to make your visit, as well as future visits, to our website easier.

In general, you have the option to change the settings of your internet browser, so that you are informed of the occurrence of cookies and can accept or reject them as well as delete already existing cookies. Please use the help function of your internet browser to find information on changing these settings. We would like to note that specific functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Cookies do not allow a server to read private data from your computer or data that has been stored on another server. They do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are processed to improve how our website runs, and this process is thus necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests.

Use analysis

On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

The information generated by cookies about you using this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and saved there. If IP anonymisation has been activated for this website, however, within the member states of the European Union or in other parties of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP address will be shortened. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address first be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and then shortened there. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to create reports on website activities and to provide us with services related to the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted to Google Analytics by your browser will not be merged with other data from Google.

You can prevent these cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. We would like to note that, if you do so, you may not be able to use all of the functions of this website to their full capacity. You can also prevent the data which the cookie generates about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being collected as well as prevent Google from processing these data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here. We would also like to note that Google Analytics is supplemented by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” on our website to ensure that IP addresses are collected anonymously (known as IP masking). You can also prevent your data from being recorded by Google Analytics here: This will place an opt-out cookie, which will prevent additional data from being collected while you are visiting this website.

Additional information on the terms of use (including data protection) by Google Analytics can be found here.
